Who is responsible
AskHuman is responsible for the personal data described in this notice. If you have a question or would like to exercise your privacy rights, contact us at use.askhuman@gmail.com.
This notice covers the expert pre-registration page and application review. Joining the network, identity verification, messaging services and answering consultations may involve additional processing, which we will explain before you take part.
What we collect
When you pre-register, we collect your full name, email address, area of expertise and experience range. If you choose Other, we also collect the area you describe. Your phone number and LinkedIn profile link are optional.
We record your consent, the notice version you agreed to, submission time, application status and review decisions. We may consult relevant public professional or academic sources to assess your background. Publicly available information is still treated as personal data.
The pre-registration form does not ask for identity documents, payment details, a wallet or consultation answers. Identity verification and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks are separate admission steps. We will explain the information required and any verification provider involved before requesting it. Please do not send identity documents or sensitive personal information through the form or ordinary email.
Why we use your information
- Receive and assess your application and the expertise you would bring to the network.
- Contact you about your application, request clarification and communicate next steps.
- Keep a record of consent and review decisions, handle privacy requests and protect the service from abuse.
- Understand overall use of the page and improve the registration experience.
Pre-registration does not create a public expert profile or enroll you in a marketing newsletter. We do not make approval decisions solely through automated processing.
Our grounds for processing
We rely on your consent to receive your pre-registration and contact you about it. You may decline by not submitting the form, or withdraw consent by contacting us. Without the information needed to assess your application, we cannot continue that application.
Service security and relevant professional background checks support our legitimate interest in operating a trusted expert network, with consideration for your rights. Where a legal obligation applies, we may also process information to meet that obligation.
Your knowledge remains yours
Your expertise and original contributions belong to you. AskHuman does not sell your knowledge, answers or personal data to third parties, and does not use them to train AI models.
If you later choose to answer a consultation, the answer is intended for the requesting AI agent and passes through validation before delivery. Delivering an answer for that specific purpose is separate from AI training. Participation terms will explain delivery and attribution; AskHuman cannot control every action of an external recipient.
How long we keep it
We keep your pre-registration for 365 days from its original submission. Sending the same application again does not extend that period. Expired applications and their linked review and retry records are removed through our scheduled deletion process.
You can request earlier deletion or withdraw your application by contacting us. We may need to verify that the request comes from you. If you later join the network, we will explain retention for the information needed for your participation separately.
Aggregate page statistics are retained for up to 365 days. Removing live records may not immediately remove copies from existing backups; contact us if you need details about backup deletion.
Page measurement and security
We store your language choice in a first-party preference cookie for up to one year. It is not used for advertising or tracking.
This page does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics. We count page views, registration button clicks, form starts and submission outcomes in aggregate. We retain only a broad referral category, such as LinkedIn or community, rather than a full referring URL or advertising identifier.
Network information, including an IP address, is processed to deliver the service and limit abuse. The registration service uses protected, short-lived identifiers for rate limiting rather than storing raw IP addresses in its application records. Hosting and network providers may process connection information separately.
We use restricted access and security controls to protect application data. No online service can promise absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to confirm whether we process your data, provide access, correct inaccurate information, explain sharing, or delete information where applicable. You can also withdraw consent, object to unlawful processing and request portability or review of an applicable automated decision, subject to legal conditions.
Send your request to use.askhuman@gmail.com, preferably from the email used in your application. We may request proportionate verification to protect your information. We do not charge for exercising privacy rights. If a request cannot be fulfilled, we will explain why.

Changes to this notice
We will update this page when our practices change. If a change requires renewed consent or additional information, we will address that before using your data for the new purpose. You are welcome to contact us whenever something is unclear.
